Wow, it does not feel like it’s been 5 days since my last post. I got a little overwhelmed trying to come up with ideas for my topic day so I kind of steered clear of blogging. I was not enjoying myself. I will still do my Top 13 every once in a while, but in general, I’m gonna write about what I want to write about, when I want to! No pressure!
Now, I am about to post a new recipe. It was TO DIE FOR. Simple and quite tasty!
Anyways (I know! I hate that saying but whatever!), I just wanted to give a shout out and apologize for no writing. I have been spending a lot of time with my family. I can’t complain. It’s been nice. I’ve also been reading A LOT. I mean a lot, a lot. I’ve read three series in the last 5 days. I am a very fast reader and the books were not horribly wrong. I love indulging in YA books 🙂
I’ve also been slacking with my crochet. I was planning on having it done by Valentine’s Day for my mama but I don’t see that happening. Oh well, go with the flow lol

Well, this week definitely wasn’t the best week to start topic days…I have been SO busy with 6 kids, 2 dogs, a husband, and WARM weather. We were outside all day, ON TOP of me reading a new book series by Jennifer Armentrout (if you haven’t heard of her, look her up! Romance and action!!!), and crocheting up a storm. I have been bored for months, but thanks to my husband’s awesome raise, I have been able to perform more hobbies.
I am now blogging, reading a new series, crocheting (I have 3 planned afghans I need to complete), and trying out a ton of new recipes. I am SO THANKFUL I get to stay home and do this, but I cannot wait for the day when I get my Ph.D. and actually become a counselor. Even though I am a SAHM (Stay At Home Mom), I am super busy!!! Don’t get me wrong, I love every second, but I really wish I could have started this week off a little better. I am so thankful for those of you that take the time to read my posts. I ramble on A LOT, but it’s nice to get my opinions, thoughts, ideas, and experiences out in the open.

So now that I am finally learning how to navigate the blogging world pretty smoothly, I have decided to start organizing certain posts on certain days. I have seen people with multiple blogs: like one for food, one for fashion, and one for opinions and just writing. Whew!!! I don’t know how they can handle multiple blogs when handling one takes up so much time! So to organize this craziness in my head I will be assigning days. Below you will see what I have come up with so far.
- Mental Mondays ~ Mondays I will be writing posts pertaining to life, psychology, and opinions.
- Top 13 Tuesdays ~ Books, movies, quotes, anything really that can be put into a countdown-type list. I picked “13” because it’s my lucky and favorite number!
- Wacky Wednesdays ~ Pictures, videos, jokes, and anything else…humor!
- Terrific Thursdays~ All about inspiration and self-help.
- Food Fridays ~ Recipes Galore! I have been on a cooking spree for a few weeks now. I am cooking so many new dishes that I feel like that is the main direction this blog is going. While I’ve always wanted to blog about recipes, I want this blog to be more, so I will limit my recipes to only one day a week (although I can’t promise I won’t post multiple recipes on Fridays lol).
There we go. It’s a work in progress, like this blog, so this is not set in stone. I am really enjoying writing my thoughts, ideas, and creations. This also gives me some flexibility to write what I want to write, when I want to. I can just schedule it for a future posting date. Took me a few days to figure that one out, but now that I have, I have been writing up a storm.
My heart feels lighter, my head is clearer, and life seems to be falling into place. I don’t know if it’s the blog specifically, but having a reason to actually write for others instead of just myself has gotten my creative neurons firing. I am excited to see where this blog will go!
